Dr. Lindsay Dugas brings a hands-on, people-first approach to eye care in the heart of Broussard, Louisiana. Alongside her husband, Troy, she co-founded Acadiana Optics to create a fresh, welcoming space where vision care feels personal — not clinical.
Dr. Dugas’s journey into optometry began at the front desk, working as a receptionist and learning directly from experienced doctors throughout South Louisiana. That early exposure shaped her deep appreciation for patient relationships and comprehensive, community-based care.
A proud graduate of Comeaux High School (2003), the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2008), and the University of Houston College of Optometry (2013), Dr. Dugas offers a full spectrum of eye care — from pediatric exams and medical management to specialty contact lenses. Her mission goes beyond clear vision: she’s passionate about teaching patients how to care for their eyes for life. It's a philosophy captured in the clinic’s guiding motto: “Healthy vision goes beyond 20/20.”
When she’s not in the exam room, Dr. Dugas enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter, and their dog. She has a love for interior design, crafting, and hosting friends and family — often with her Bayou Church community by her side. Through global mission work and local outreach, she’s committed to making eye care more accessible, more meaningful, and more connected to everyday life.
